Located in a mountainous region of Germany, this home accommodates a generous gallery area for a collection of sculptures and fine art, a six car garage, formal dining room, and two full master bedrooms. An infinity pool was added to the rooftop terrace with an outdoor fireplace, outdoor lounge, and partial green roof. The spa living continues inside the home with a full indoor spa with dipping pool, sauna, massage room, rain shower, and steam room. Two in-house suites were also designed for two teenage children, including a two-story suite for the client’s daughter. Both children’s suites have private entries and terraces.
The aesthetic for this home was influenced by a play on dynamics and movement. I wanted the building to feel as if it were dynamic. The swooping gestures and angled concrete form frames the sweeping glass facades, and generates an overall movement to the design: a direction, a push.
